A second trailer has been released for the upcoming VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral anime. The show also had a Japanese premiere date of July 7 (which is at 12:30 a.m. JST on July 8) and a new cast announcement.
The newly announced voice actors are Azusa Tadokoro as Arisu Soma, MAO as Erai Sonokaze and Ai Kayano as Kaeru Yamatani. All three characters are 4th generation VTUbers at the Live-On company.

VTuber Legend is an adaptation of the light novel series written by Nana Nanatoand illustrated by Noko Shiokazu. The books are published under KADOKAWA's Fantasia Bunko label and have eight volumes as of November 2023. The series started in 2021.
J Novel Club describes the plot as:
Twenty-year-old former wage slave Yuki Tanaka now works alongside his idols: streamer Live-On, one of Japan's top VTuber companies. As the beautiful, elegant Awayuki Kokorone, she delivers only the most feminine content. Unfortunately, her subscriber count and savings are at their lowest. One evening, after Yuki thought she had finished her live stream, she made a few cold statements—and many crude jokes—while watching Live's video archives. On. But her viewers heard it all, and clips of her raunchy, drunken comments went viral overnight. Yuki thinks her career is over…until her manager reveals that everyone at Live-On has been waiting for her for a long time and allows her to drink freely on television. Now free from all false purity, she jumps right into her new “noisy drunk” persona and is welcomed into the group by her fellow Live-On VTubers, who turn out to be just as crazy as her! With her perspective and finances skyrocketing, Yuki's job—for the first time in her life—is actually exciting!
VTuber Legend was originally a web novel, with the first chapter launching on Hameln in 2020. It began being published on Kakuyomu later that year. This light novel series inspired a manga adaptation.
