Pony Canyon has announced that Yuya Hirose will voice Köinzell, the main character of the upcoming Übel Blatt television anime series. Additional staff and an anime premiere date have yet to be announced.
Hirose released the following statement regarding his involvement with the series.
Additionally, Hirose and original manga creator Etorouji Shiono will attend a live drawing session at this year's upcoming Anime Expo on July 5, 2025. Shiono's editor will also be present. The conference will take place in Room 404AB at the LA Convention Center from 5:15pm PST to 6:05pm PST.
Shiono's dark fantasy manga first debuted on Square Enix's Gangan YG in 2004, before moving to Young Gangan later that year until 2009. After a two-year hiatus, the manga returned to magazine Monthly Big Gangan magazine on December 24, 200 and published there until March 25, 2019. A total of 24 tankobon volumes have been released, with the first volume labeled as volume “0”.

A sequel titled Ubel Blatt II: The Knights of the Deceased King has been serialized in Monthly Big Gangan magazine since February 24, 2024.
