When the war ended in My Hero Academa, Deku suffered a severe head injury, causing his hair to be shaved off. One fan decided to colorize Deku's new appearance in the manga, showing what he will look like in the anime.
The post was shared on Twitter by user @Bovazq and as you can see below, the hero's appearance is completely different now.
Deku's new look has become a meme among many fans, who say he was the target of the same curse as Naruto after the end of the series, while others believe it looks cool.
Deku's hair may grow back later, but the scars on his face are traces of battle that he will probably have to carry for the rest of his life. The conflict against All For One and Shigaraki ended in chapter 424. Chapter 425 will be the end of the story but author Kohei Horikoshi has promised that this will be the long ending.
The author says: “Writing convention says that the ending of a story should be brief, but this is not the type of manga that can end immediately after the war ends.”
So, it is likely that chapter 425 of the My Hero Academia manga will be divided into several parts. In this way, the artist can explore the consequences of war in an unhurried manner, as well as develop the characters in this final scene. For now, it remains to be seen how Horikoshi will carry out this final part in the coming weeks.
Chapter 425 is titled “Epilogue,” which is a reference to the final chapter. This chapter could show the construction of the post-war hero society, focusing on the development of characters such as Deku and Bakugo, as well as the development of other important heroes during the war. Perhaps it will even have a time jump to introduce the next generation of heroes.
My Hero Academia manga chapter 425 will be released next Sunday, June 9, 2024 on Manga Plus.
