My Deer Friend Nokotan released a special anime visual featuring Koshitan and Anko, and followed up on the sports festival in Episode 9. WIT Studio is in charge of animation, with Masahiko Ohta serving as director.

My Deer Friend Nokotan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Oshioshio. It began serialization in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge in November 2019, while it moved to the website Magazine Pocket in December 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the manga in English, and they describe the story:
No one knows Torako used to be a delinquent. All her classmates know is that she is a perfect student. But everything changes when Nokotan, a transfer student with antlers, enters her life. The antlers aren't the only strange thing about Nokotan. Her deer nose can sniff out Torako's secret past! Whether at school or at the zoo, chaos follows this deer-eyed girl's every move. Torako has so many questions! Is Nokotan a deer, a girl, or something in between?
