Happy Misfits briefly describes Liminalis as:
Alone and crowded in a small house in the middle of a deserted snow-covered Village, a child dreams of travel and adventure. If it weren't for the strange illness of unknown origin that tormented him a little more every day, the boy would have made a great leap forward.
However, a friendly and pleasant ghostly creature is always by his side. The mysterious entity seems to have only one purpose: to bring comfort to the child who has frequent nightmares about a fog-shrouded island, coming closer and closer, becoming more and more clear and ominous.
Reaping dreams from the dead, the creature gives them to its guardian to escape both reality and nightmares. However, behind the absurdity and suspense of that dreamscape lie some unavoidable truths.
