The album’s single, “I’m Free!”, which features a pop vocal performance by Sydney James Harcourt and features Lindsey Stirling on violin, is available now. We were excited to use the score to highlight this duality, so while we relied on the conventional styles of the orchestra, drums, choir, etc., we also relied on the scores. Recorded intimate recitals, using a range of experimental playing techniques, to emphasize the emotional core of the show. Just as the story spans space, time and culture, we also explore a variety of musical instruments from around the world, from viola da gamba, cristalbaschet and the human voice to didgeridoos, koras and shells conch,” Toy explains.
The new series stars Richter Belmont (a descendant of main characters Sypha and Trevor from the original show) and Maria Renard. The series is set in France during the French Revolution of 1792.
Kevin Kolde is the showrunner and Clive Bradley is credited as creator and writer. Project 51 Productions is producing the series with production services from Powerhouse Animation.
