Kodansha announced that its manga platform K MANGA has expanded to four new countries, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore on October 22, 2024, on both iOS and Android platforms.
To celebrate the app's launch in these regions, Kodansha is offering a limited-time promotion offering 50% off five popular titles. The title that is Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, Wistoria: Wand And Sword, WIND BREAKER and >Hire a girlfriend.
The campaign will run from 12:00 a.m. on October 22, 2024 to 11:59 p.m. on November 4, 2024 (JST).
Kodansha's expansion reflects the growing demand for Japanese comics among English-speaking audiences. The company's overseas manga sales have skyrocketed in recent years, thanks to the global success of titles such as Attack on Titan and Tokyo Revengers.
The company has also revealed plans to continue expanding K MANGA to other regions in the future.
K MANGA was first launched in the United States in May 2024.
The K MANGA application provides more than 500 books in English, including about 100 ongoing series that will be updated simultaneously with their release in Japan. Users will also be able to access the full library of fan-favorite series such as, for free Attack on Titan, Tokyo Revengers and Fairy Tail using a daily pass, although some ongoing series may be excluded.
