High-level demon Doma is superbly rendered in this innovative gender-swapping cosplay of the popular Demon Slayer villain.
Cosplayer Macklmoor took to Instagram to share her excitement about the recently released “Swordsmith Village” featuring her portrayal of villain Doma. She posted a collection of pictures dressed as the devil, complete with various accessories, makeup, outfits, and poses. The photos show the character’s iconic blood-red turtleneck, hat, and black crown. Alongside the costume are some impressive contact lenses that capture the range of colors seen in the character’s eyes.
In addition to capturing the exact image in the anime, she adds a unique touch to the cosplay by varying the details of his presentation. Macklmoor used a wig to style the character’s iconic shaggy hair, with the fringe and top parted in multiple directions. However, unlike his depiction in the anime, this version of Doma has much longer hair that falls past his shoulders. The look also features the character’s blue pointed fingernails sculpted into sharp fake nails that she uses to pose for the camera.
Demon Slayer fans praise the cosplay
Comments on the post all share the same enthusiasm for the cosplay as Macklmoor herself, with plenty of support for her portrayal of the character. The responses were filled with positive phrases, such as “My life has changed because of this photo,” “Slay” and “You look amazing as Doma.” One user even went so far as to call these images screenshots from the anime, praising the cosplayer for accurately depicting the Demon Slayer villain.
The third season of Demon Slayer officially kicked off on April 9 with the release of the 44-minute episode “Someone’s Dream”. The entire series is available to stream on Crunchyroll, with the next episode scheduled to release on April 16.
