Blue Exorcist Season 4 Episode 4 Summary
Blue Exorcist Season 4 Episode 4, titled Goodbye to You, follows Shura's tragic childhood under the supervision of the Dragon God Hachiroto, revealing the brutal training she endured as a result of a contract with ancestor.
Isolated and feared by villagers who called her “Baba Yaga,” Shura met Shiro, who saw her potential and offered her a way out. Returning to the present, Shura confronts Hachiroto at Towada Shrine, where he attempts to use his power to manipulate her and force her to fulfill the ancient contract.
When Rin and Yukio came to save her, Hachiroto's power overpowered them until Rin's flames momentarily distracted him. Yukio seizes the moment, offering to make a new contract in Blue Exorcist Season 4 Episode 4.
This fools Hachiroto long enough for Rin to deliver a fatal blow, forcing Hachiroto to transform into Hydra form. Afterwards, the Dragon God took Shura hostage and dived into Lake Towada, where Shura, with resignation, decided to stay by his side forever.
