Crunchyroll has revealed a new clip from the movie Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom, which is playing in North American theaters starting today. The clip was released in Japan earlier this year but this time it has English subtitles. Studio MADHOUSE is animating the film, which opens in Japan on September 13.
Naoyuki Ito is directing the film at studio MADHOUSE, with Satoshi Tasaki as character designer and animation director. Yukie SUGAwara is the scriptwriter. Shuji Katayama is composing music. The movie Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom will see the return of OxT with the new theme song “WHEELER-DEALER”:
The third film in the Overlord series adapting Volume 12 to Volume 13 of the light novel. This arc was not included in the fourth season but the events in it should have taken place around episode 8. The first two movies are recaps of the first and second seasons of the anime. They are titled Immortal King and Dark Hero. Both debuted in 2017.
