Blue Box is a Japanese sports and romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Kouji Miura. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since April 2021, with the chapters collected into 12 tankobon volumes as of October 2023.
MAL describes the series as:
Taiki Inomata, a third-year middle school student, attends Eimei Academy, an integrated school with a large sports program. After joining the high school badminton team, Taiki tried to participate in open practice as soon as possible. But no matter how early he went, he always finished second in the gym. The person one step ahead of him was Chinatsu Kano, a first year high school student and a member of Taiki.
Chinatsu is the rising star of the basketball team, and the gap between her and Taiki couldn’t be greater. Although Taiki is a decent badminton player, his popularity is not as good as Chinatsu’s, making it even harder for his feelings to be reciprocated. However, in a strange twist of fate, she ends up living in Taiki’s house!
Wanting to become a worthy opponent of Chinatsu, Taiki pursues the same dream as his lover: to participate in the National tournament. Taiki begins training harder than ever, all for the sake of building a strong relationship with his new housemate.
