Akane Shimizu's live-action Cells at Work production team! (Hataraku Saibō) revealed three more cast members on Thursday.

Newly announced cast members are Takashi Tsukamoto as Teacher Neutrophil (top left in the image above), Wataru Ichinose as the external anal sphincter captain (top right), and Japanese DJ and rapper KOO Shoulder Neuron (bottom left).

The film will premiere in Japan on December 13.
The previously announced cast includes:
Hideki Takeuchi (live-action Nodame Cantabile, Thermae Romae, Fly Me to Saitama) is directing the film, with a script by Yūichi Tokunaga (live-action Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Liar x Liar, Princess Jellyfish). Warner Bros. Japan will distribute the film. HiGE DANdism will officially perform the theme song “50%.”
Shimizu has launched Cells at Work! manga in the March 2015 issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine and ending in January 2021. Kodansha USA is publishing the manga in English.
The original manga's first television anime premiered in July 2018. The second season premiered in January 2021, alongside the Cells at Work! Code Black side story manga.
Kodansha USA is also releasing the following spin-off manga in English: Cells at Work: Bacteria!, Cells at Work!: Neo Bacteria!, Cells at Work! White Brigade, cells at work! Honey, the cells are NOT active!, The cells are active! Code Black, Cells at Work and Friends!, and Cells at Work: Platelets!.
The newest cells at work! The spin-off manga ends with Kae Hashimoto's Hataraku Saibō Illegal (Cells at Work! Illegal), which ended in July 2023. The manga focuses on a body that uses illegal substances and is subjected to physical violence. The spinoff manga Hataraku Saibō Lady (Cells at Work! Lady) by Akari Otokawa and Shigemitsu Harada ended in September 2022. The manga focuses on the physiology of adult women, such as menstruation, pregnancy, and give birth. Harada also writes separate cells at work! spin-off manga Cell at Work! Code Black, ending January 2021. Yū Maeda's spinoff manga Hataraku Saibō Muscle (Cells at Work! Muscle) launched on Kodansha's Morning two manga website in February 2023. Hataraku Saibō Neko (Cells at Work ! Cat) by Choco Aozora and Meku Kaire and Hataraku Saibō Okusuri (Cells at Work! Medicine) by Koma Warita and Ryō Kuji both launched in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine in May 2023.
