Ajichika will illustrate the series with compositions by Aoi Kujira
This year's 50th issue of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine announced on Thursday that Oshi no Ko writer Aka Akasaka is conceiving an origin story for a new manga series launching in the magazine in spring 2025. Record Ragnarok artist Ajichika is drawing the series and Aoi Kujira (Geek Circle Crisis) is composing the story for the series.

The magazine introduces a fairy tale about a prince and princess guided by fate.
Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari's Oshi no Ko manga ended in the same issue. The 16th and final compilation volume will be published in Japan on December 18.

Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Yokoyari (Scum's Wish) launched the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020. Shueisha's MANGA Plus service will digitally release the manga in English number. Yen Press licensed the manga for print release.
The series won first place in the seventh “Next Manga Awards” (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō) in 2021, and also won the Best Compilation Manga category in the 5th Annual Kodansha Manga 46 awards in 2022. The series was nominated for the 26th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Awards in 2022, and was also nominated for the 14th Manga Taisho and 15th Awards. This manga ranked 7th in the list of top 20 manga for male readers in the 2022 issue of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Manual (This manga is amazing!) The manga has sold over 3 million copies.
The anime television adaptation premiered in Japan in April 2023 with a 90-minute first episode. HIDIVE streamed the anime as it aired in Japan and is also streaming the English dub. The company claims that the anime has become the streaming service's “#1 series premiere in history.” The second season of the anime premiered on July 3 on Tokyo MX and over 29 other channels across Japan. The anime is about to have its third season.
The manga is also inspiring a live-action film and television adaptation. The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video worldwide on November 28 with eight episodes, and the sequel will follow the film in theaters on December 20.
A stage play adaptation of the “2.5D Stage” of the manga Play arc” will take place at the Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka from December 26 to 29.
