Part of Virche’s appeal is the ambiguity of its gameplay, so I recommend not knowing the rules to begin with. This game forces you to play all of the “Desperate Ends” before you can get to the “Salvation Ends.” ALL Salvation Endings will only be accessible after completing Act 3. To unlock Act 3, you must clear all ‘Despair Endings’ for the characters: Mathis, Lucas, Scien (in Act 1) and Yves (in Act 2). Simply put, you cannot access all the good endings until completing Act 3, which also involves completing all the bad/tragic endings.
