The official Twitter account representing Yoshiko Tsuchida’s beloved manga, “Tsuruhime-ja!” made a solemn announcement on Saturday about the passing of the legendary creator himself, who left this world on Friday.
Yoshiko Tsuchida, a talented artist, has turned 75 years old.

Born in the vibrant city of Tokyo in 1948, Tsuchida began his remarkable journey in the world of manga. She began her career as an apprentice under the icon Fujio Akatsuka, who is famous for his creations such as “Himitsu no Akko-chan” and “Osomatsu-kun”. In 1968, she took her first steps as a comic book author.

Tsuchida’s mesmerizing shoujo masterpiece, “Tsuruhime-ja!,” appeared in the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Margaret magazine from 1973 to 1979. This unforgettable creation became the inspiration for the film adaptation The enchanting 49-episode anime television series first debuted in 1990.

In addition to his masterpiece, Tsuchida also wrote many other manga works, including titles such as “Nanohana Tsubomi”, “Watashi wa Sijimi! ,” “Yoshiko de~su!
