PC adapter support for PSVR2 launches on August 7

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced on Monday that it will launch a PC adapter for PlayStation VR2, allowing users to play SteamVR titles on the device. PC adapter support for PSVR2 will launch on August 7.
The PC adapter will cost 59.99 USD or 59.99 €. Users will also need to purchase a DisplayPort cable compatible with DisplayPort 1.4. Some features will not be available when gaming on PC, such as HDR, feedback from the headset, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback in addition to rumble.
The company launched PlayStation VR2, a new virtual reality (VR) system for PlayStation 5, in February 2023.
The PS5 gaming console had sales surpassing the 50 million unit mark last December. As of July 2021, Sony has sold more than 10 million PS5 units worldwide since its launch, making it Sony's best-selling PS5 console. Sony has sold more than 20 million PS5 units worldwide as of June 2022. PS5 surpassed the 30 million unit mark in January 2023 and then surpassed the 40 million mark in July 2023.
PS5 launches in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea on November 12, 2020. It launches in most of the rest of the world on November 19, 2020 The PS5 retails for $499.99 and the PS5 Digital Edition (excluding optical drive) retails for $399.99. The PS5 released a new, smaller model to replace the old model throughout November to early December this year in various territories.
SIE released Project Leonardo – a new, highly customizable accessibility controller to help players with disabilities play more comfortably – on PS5 on December 6.
SIE announced that it will lay off 8% of its global PlayStation workforce on February 27.
