The recently released Volume 14 of Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time revealed that the Peter Grill manga will end with Volume 15. And for the online community, it was a heartbreaking announcement. Representation is important, it tells you that you are not alone in the world and that you are accepted and loved. Most want a pure MC that they can put on their own, some of us just can't vibe with those good vibes. We need an MC who understands the plight of ordinary people, someone who fails as much as he succeeds. We need someone who likes him and tries to be the best man he can be. But after promising to be home by 11 p.m. after “just a few drinks with the guys,” we woke up two days later confused, naked, and in a different zip code. Losing an MC who represents that is a loss for humanity.
Daisuke Hiyama's Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time has been serialized in Futabasha's Manga Action magazine since July 2017. The anime adaptation is currently available only on Crunchyroll and HIDIVE (only the latter has both seasons). Wolfsbane animated the first season and was joined by studio Seven for the second.
Peter Grill shows that physical strength does not necessarily equal mental strength. As Peter's power as the world's greatest warrior spreads, he rejoices that his newfound name will help him grow closer and marry the girl who stole his heart . But his fame comes with a price. Women from all over the world want to drink his Peter juice so that one day their children can be just as healthy. And while he may try to be faithful, one could say he's British Petroleum's boyfriend. A slight wind causes unimaginable disasters.
Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time Volume 14 was released on April 11, 2024. The final volume is scheduled for release in the fall.
