Yostar Pictures and Pony Canyon revealed additional cast, first key images, and the first English-subtitled promotional video for the Sorairo Utility television anime on Tuesday. (May 28 is unofficially Golf Day in Japan.) The anime's official channel also launched on Tuesday.

The newly announced cast members are:
Yumiri Hanamori as Izumi Akina, Minami's classmate. She has a cold personality but always cares for her childhood friend, Minami. She joins the Shogi Club and hopes to become a professional chess player. In middle school, she had enough skills to compete at nationals.

Kazuhiko Inoue as Masao”Masa”Tadokoro. One of three people who regularly go to the golf course is the oldest who is 75 years old. He is an emotional mood maker and has great football skills. He often praises Minami as an “angel”. Sometimes, he felt as if his soul was about to leave his body.

Kenyuu Horiuchi as Chosuke”Cho”Tanabe. One of the three people who regularly visit the golf practice range is a 65-year-old gentleman with a calm demeanor. He often plays the role of controlling Masa and Tetsu and specializes in performing approach shots. He also knows a lot about golf.

Toshiyuki Morikawa as Tetsuhiro”Tetsu”Tanaka, one of the three regular characters at the Golf Driving Range is a passionate 55 year old individual who is excellent with his driver and enthusiastic about hitting shots, even though he Struggling with a weak back. Even though he is the youngest of the trio, he is very considerate and has a caring attitude.

The anime series will premiere in 2025.
The returning cast includes:
Kengo Saitō will return to direct the anime at Yostar Pictures and is also designing the characters. Yū Satō (The Legendary Hero is Dead!, Kotaro Lives Alone) will oversee the film's script. Satō is also writing the script with Aya Satsuki (Too Cute Crisis) and Aki Mizuki. Kota Nozomi, who wrote the script for the Sorairo Utility special, is credited for collaborating on the original concept.
Pony Canyon describes the series:
“At this rate, I'll just graduate with a plain A character!”
Minami Aoba is in trouble. She doesn't have specific strengths or things she wants to do. Is her high school life okay to end up like an ordinary side character like that!?
Leaving school behind, Minami searches for her own “special uniqueness”. She happened to find a golf course nearby. Approached by part-timer Haruka Akane, Minami gets hold of a golf club—“utility.”
And so, it's the encounter between Minami and golf.
Winning isn't the only thing winning in golf! Everything related to golf is fun!
Together with genius golfer Haruka and Ayaka Hoshimi, who aspires to become influencers, they search for the moment when they can become “protagonists”! As a super beginner, Minami swung her club once again today.
The original anime special aired in December 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the anime.
