What happened in Pokémon Horizons Episode #38?
Episode #38 of Pokémon Horizons opens with a spaceship landing in a massive storm. While inspecting the damage, Mollie and Riko discover that lone Tandemaus, a Pokémon that always travels in pairs, has been injured. They help it and try to find its partner, who turns out to be trapped in a cave. However, this is not actually Tandemau but the evolved form, Maushold, and there are two babies who also need to be rescued. Despite the danger, Riko went deeper into the cave to find the children.
Riko soon finds the children very weak. Having watched Mollie’s Chansey before, Riko’s Hatenna can use Heal Pulse to heal Maushold. However, they are currently trapped in the cave due to a cave-in collapse. The reunited Maushold, now at full power, is able to help Riko escape the cave. Riko appears and finds that the entire airship’s crew has been recruited into the rescue operation to save her, but fortunately, she is unharmed. Maushold begins traveling by airship as they take off and inevitably reappears.
Pokémon Horizons Episode #39 Introduces the famous red/purple Pokémon
Episode #39 appears to focus on Tinkatink, a hugely popular Pokémon from the Scarlet and Violet video games, which will make its first appearance in the anime in this episode. Tinkatink seems to be after a specific hammer, to the point of becoming a nuisance to some construction workers. This attracts the attention of Dot, who is shopping in town with Roy and Riko. Tinkatink also cried and ran all over the airship. Perhaps this could be Dot’s first start since she started Quaxly.
This episode appears to be the final episode in the five-episode travel “arc” that was previewed earlier this year, so The airship and its crew will soon arrive at Paldea. A new scene will certainly liven things up a bit, and many fans are worried about the return to major plot points, which have been delayed for a while. Hope that, Pokémon Horizon will return to the main story after issue #39, pointing the crew in the next direction in Lucius’s Six Heroes.
