The OMORI manga adaptation debuted in the August 2024 issue of Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine, on sale June 25 JST.
The manga's opening takes place a few days before the launch of Tree Village's OMORI Collaboration Cafe arc. The cafe will open first in Tokyo (June 29 to July 26 JST), then in Osaka and Hakata (both August 16 to September 3 JST). In addition to food, there will be a variety of merchandise such as cups with faces and Omori's cushion keychains.
OMORI is a 2D psychological horror indie role-playing game developed by OMOCAT in RPGmaker. The OMORI X (formerly Twitter) account has said that the manga will be suitable for newcomers as well as existing players.
The game is described as:
Explore a strange world with colorful friends and enemies. Navigate through the vibrant and mundane to discover a forgotten past. When the time comes, the path you choose will determine your fate… and perhaps the fate of others as well.
OMORI was released on Steam in December 2020 and later had a Japanese localization as well as a Nintendo Switch and PS4 Port. It was available on Xbox One and Xbox X/S through Game Pass but was removed in June 2023.
