A new key visual and main opening theme song have been revealed for the upcoming anime television series OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Know What She's Saying. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japan in January 2025.
Four-member band HY will perform the anime's main opening theme “Daidaidaisuki”. The band is based in Uruma City in Okinawa Prefecture.

Shin Itagaki (I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World that also became unmatched in the real world) is serving as director and co-writer of the anime, with Shingo Tanabe (director I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too) directed the series and also wrote the script.
Other staff members include Tomohiro Yoshida (So I'm a Spider, So What? chief animator) as character designer, Hotaka Fukumura (dialect supervisor of the original manga) as dialect coach language and Tomohisa Ishikawa (Obsolete), Yoshimi Katayama and Ayano Kinjo are the composers. Millepensee is handling the animation production.
They join the anime's main voice cast including:

The anime is based on the Okinawa-themed romantic comedy manga by Egumi Sora, which was first posted on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch website on January 10, 2020. The manga has released 8 tankobon volumes as of February 2024 .

Crunchyroll will stream OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl and describes the main synopsis as follows:
Teruaki Nakamura recently transferred to school in Okinawa from Tokyo and falls in love with a girl. Unfortunately, he can't understand her dialect! With the help of his new friend Higa-san, Nakamura will experience a cross-cultural romance on the southern island.
