The official Twitter account for the live-action adaptation of Yūgo Kobayashi’s “Fermat no Ryōri” (Cuisson dans le Fermat or Fermat’s Cuisine) manga recently revealed the new cast and an impressive poster image. last Saturday.
Mitsuhiro Oikawa (below) has been cast to play Kagekatsu Saimon, the famous school principal who oversees the elite institution attended by our protagonist, Gaku.

In the lead roles, we have Fumiya Takahashi (left in the picture below) and Jun Shison (right), who will play Gaku Kitada and Kai Asakura respectively.
Furthermore, Fūka Koshiba (see below) has been cast as the talented female chef Ranna Akamatsu.
Rounding out this excellent cast are other notable cast members, including Tōru Nakamura as Katsuhiro Shibuya, Rihito Itagaki as Magoroku Inui, Sei Shiraishi as Ayu Uomi, and Emma Miyazawa as Nene Fukuda.
Mark your calendars because the series is set to premiere on TBS this coming October.
The manga’s story revolves around the journeys of Gaku Kitada, a talented mathematics scholar, and Kai Asakura, an equally talented young culinary artist. After Gaku’s failures in his pursuit of becoming a mathematician, fate brings him together with Kai, who runs his own food business. Together, they embark on a new and exciting adventure.
Kobayashi initiated serialization of the manga in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine in September 2018. Notably, the third volume of the manga was released by Kodansha in May 2022, with a fourth volume planned scheduled for publication on September 28.

Additionally, Kobayashi introduced the manga “Aoashi” in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine in January 2015. The manga is based on an original story idea by Naohiko Ueno, which inspired a television anime that debuted in 2015. April 2022. Crunchyroll provided a streaming service for the anime during its broadcast.
