It has been announced that the manga “Terra Formars” will resume publication starting with the 18th issue of “Weekly Young Jump” magazine released on April 4. This super popular series, began serialization in 2011 and has surpassed 22 million copies in circulation, having returned after a five-year hiatus. To celebrate this, all chapters are available for free for a limited time on “Young Jump!” app starting March 28.
“Terra Formars” is a science fiction action series based on an original story by Yuu Sasuga and illustrated by Kenichi Tachibana. It started in the first issue of the special edition “Miracle Jump” in 2011 and then moved to “Weekly Young Jump” in 2012. The story depicts a 20-year war between two generations between people. and humanoid creatures called “Terraformars”. unexpectedly evolved from cockroaches due to the “Terraforming Project” on Mars.
With more than 22 million copies of 22 volumes in circulation, “Terra Formars” ranks first in the “Men's Section” in “Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2013” and ranked second in “Comics Recommended by Bookstore Employees Nationwide 2013.” It was also adapted into an anime series in 2014 and a live-action film in 2016. Due to the original author's health problems, the series has been on hiatus since issue #52 of 2018 (released on November 29). November 2018).
