Anime Laid-Back Camp has revealed the second trailer for the show’s upcoming season 3 along with a character image of Ayano Toki. Rin and Ayano appear together in the trailer while Nadeshiko takes the train alone. The series also previously revealed two images of Rin and Nadeshiko; and the first trailer was released in September. The third season is scheduled to premiere in April 2024.
Studio 8bit is producing the new film under the direction of Shin Tosaka. Masafumi Sugiura is writing the series, Takanori Hashimoto is designing the characters, Akiyuki Tateyama is composing the music, and Takeshi Takadera is the sound director. Kimi no ne is responsible for performing the opening theme while Asaka returns in the series to perform the ending theme. The main cast will also reprise their roles:
- Yumiri Hanamori as Nadeshiko Kagamihara
- Nao Touyama plays Rin Shima
- Aki Toyosaki plays Aoi Inuyama
- Sayuri Hara as Chiaki Oogaki
- Rie Takahashi plays Ena Saito
- Tomoyo Kurosawa plays Ayano Toki
The first two seasons and the movie were both made by C-Station. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and they describe the plot as follows: Nadeshiko, a high school student who transferred from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to go see the famous Mount Fuji with a 1000 yen bill. Although she tried to cycle to Motosu, she was forced to turn back because the weather was getting worse. Unable to keep her eyes on her target, she fainted midway to her destination. When she woke up, it was dark, in a place she had never been to, and didn’t know the way home. Nadeshiko is saved when he meets Rin, a girl who is camping alone. This story of outdoor girls begins with the first meeting between Nadeshiko and Rin.
