Summary of episode 8
Volume 8 is titled “Yanagi-kun.” The episode begins with Ishikawa looking for Yanagi’s lens and he drops it on the floor. Sengoku passed by and misunderstood the whole scene. We then see people discussing how Yanagi is always reserved around them and how they want him to calm down.
So they decided to raid him before he got on the bus home and they made a move. After that, they all drink coffee and give Yanagi a cup, telling him not to be alone. Then we see everyone sitting in the student council room, and Yanagi sleeping on his desk.
He tells everyone about not waking up early because his stopwatch is broken every morning. So they decided that everyone would call him in the morning. The next day came and first Yanagi turned off his stopwatch. Later, he received a call from Miyamura, Ishikawa, and Sengoku’s text messages.
Probably the most boring episode of this season so far.
I don’t understand their obsession with yanagi tho.
I like the part where he can’t wake up no matter what, it’s understandable.

We see the interaction between Yanagi and Sengoku later, as Sengoku urges him to behave normally around him. He tells Sengoku that he can only be comfortable with people he thinks are friends, which breaks his heart.
He then confronts Yanagi and tells him that he can talk to him however he wants. He does, which makes Sengoku happy. We then see Iura and Yanagi playing a stupid game when Ishikawa and Sengoku pass by. Miyamura also joined them, but as usual, one misunderstanding led to another.
Horimiya-Piece-(Part 2) Episode 9 Release date and preview summary
Horimiya volume 9 will be released worldwide on August 26, 2023.
The episode is titled “Teacher”. The summary was released on Horimiya’s official Twitter account.
According to the preview synopsis, the next episode will focus on the teacher instead of the student. The remaining focus will be on Nakamine-sensei and her interactions with various students in the class.
