GKIDS announced that it has acquired worldwide digital and home video transaction rights (excluding China) to the first season of Riot Games' animated series Arcane.
The company, along with international partners, will release a full lineup for the series later this year, from digital to premium editions, including an exclusive 4K edition. family entertainment. Detailed information will be announced later.
To celebrate this announcement, GKIDS and Riot Games have released all new artwork for the home entertainment version of Arcane.

The first season consists of 9 episodes and was released in three parts in 2021 on November 6, November 13, and November 20. The second season will premiere on Netflix this coming November 2024. Overall, this series is part of the expanded League of Legends universe.
The three main voice actors from season one will reprise their roles in the second season, joined by Ella Purnell as Jinx, Hailee Steinfeld as Vi, and Katie Leung as Caitlyn Kiramman.
Fortiche Productions is once again the company producing the animation, with Riot Games tasked with creative oversight. The second season was originally scheduled for release in 2023 before being delayed.
Christian Linke and Alex Yee serve as the creators of the animated series. Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord co-directed several episodes of the series.

Arcane has been awarded several awards and honors, including Best Adapted Film at The Game Awards and Outstanding Animated Program at The Game Awards. Primetime Emmy Awards. It also won several honors at the Annie Awards.

Set in the utopia of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic Alliance champions—and the power that will tear them apart.
