Publisher Kodansha USA announced on Thursday that it has licensed Twilight Out of Focus 5: Long Take Part 1 and Twilight Out of Focus 6: Long Take Part 2, the fifth and sixth volumes of the BL manga series. Twilight Out of Focus (Tasogare Outfocus) BL by Jyanome and will release them in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, respectively.

Amidst the anxiety of preparing for his final year of high school, film club cameraman Mao musters up his courage and asks his boyfriend Hisashi to take a big step forward in their relationship. But what seems like a great idea at first leads to a series of other questions that confuse Mao and the two find themselves at a crossroads. And just when they need some quality time together the most, Mao and Hisashi are forced to split up to go on a school trip, which threatens to disrupt their relationship—and attract attention. surprise from a secret figure lurking in the shadows.
The manga debuted in Kodansha's digital magazine Honey Milk BL in 2019, and the compilation booklet debuted in June of the same year. Publisher Kodansha USA released the manga digitally in March 2022 and in print in May 2023.
The second work in the series, a side story titled Twilight Out of Focus 2: Afterimages in Slow Motion (Zanzō Slow Motion), was published in Japan in July 2020. Kodansha USA published the manga in last July.
The original story continues in the series' third manga Twilight Out of Focus 3: Overlap (Tasogare Outfocus Overlap), released in Japan in August 2020. Kodansha USA published the manga in August 9 last year.
The fourth manga series, Twilight Out of Focus 4: The Evening Monologues (Yoiyoi Monologue) tells a different story, published in Japan in June 2021. Kodansha USA published the manga in English on June 19. December.
Twilight Out of Focus 5: Long Take Part 1 (Tasogare Outfocus long take 1), the fifth manga in the series, was released in Japan in July 2023. A sequel and sixth manga in the series, Twilight Out of Focus 6: Long Take Part 2 (Tasogare Outfocus long take 2), was released in Japan on May 14.
The manga is inspiring a television anime that will premiere on July 4.
