Sound Euphonium Season 3 previewed episode 3, scheduled to release on Sunday, April 21. Mei Isai (Tsurune: The Linking Shot episode 9 director) will direct the episode along with Jukki Hanada (The Dangers in My Heart) is in charge of the script and Miku Kadowaki (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S opening and ending) is the animation director.

Sound! Euphonium is a light novel series written by Ayano Takeda and illustrated by Nikki Asada. Takarajimasha published the first volume of the novel in 2013. A manga adaptation with illustrations provided by Hami was launched the following year. This light novel inspired a two-part animated television series, both made by Kyoto Animation. They aired from April to July 2015 and October to December 2016, respectively.
