What happened recently?
Episode 20 is titled Kiss & Die. The episode begins with a fight between Shiki and James. James has the same Ether Gear as Elsie, the Star Drain. It has the ability to use the Ether power of the planet the individual is on.
Using this power, James nearly beat Shiki to death. At that moment, Elsie comes to save Shiki. Now, it’s a battle between childhood friends. On the other side, we see James’ team fighting Elsie’s team.

Hermit was about to be tortured by her old doctor when Wiesz gathered up her courage and spoke. When the doctor grabbed Wiesz, he turned into his Arsenal and kicked him. He then frees Hermit and tells her she is safe. But the doctor has other evil plans.
Back in the fight between James and Elsie, when we learn a little background information about Elsie, we learn that she is the princess of her planet and James is supposed to marry her. But everything changes when Elsie betrays her planet for a good reason.
Both of them shared the moment they kissed and stabbed each other in the chest. On the other side, we see Shiki meet an old cyborg telling him about his Gravity Ether Gear. Dr. Muller orders the planet’s robots to kill everyone they possess.

At that point, we see the old cyborg activate his Gravity Ether Gear to stop the movement of the entire planet. Turns out, this old robot is Ziggy’s teacher, Shiki’s grandfather. His name is Xenolith, and he is the master of Gravity Ether Arts.
