The creators of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations put the series on a brief hiatus as the beginning of the next main story is planned.

As detailed in a recent Twitter post by Shonen Jump News, the series will take a three-issue break from V-Jump #7-10 as Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto prepare for the story’s sequel. The hiatus will officially begin after the publication of Chapter 80, due out on April 20.
Boruto is currently in the middle of the “Almighty” story arc, where Kawaki has completely turned his back on Boruto and the Hidden Leaf Village. This part is named after a powerful technique it introduces through the character Eida, who uses it to rewrite reality so that Boruto is seen as the villain by the village members. This eventually leads to a bitter confrontation between him and Mitsuki. The “Almighty” season officially begins with Chapter 68, debuting in V-Jump in May 2022.
From Naruto to Boruto
Boruto started the franchise after Naruto ended it in November 2014. Before launching his Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga, Pierrot released Boruto: Naruto the Movie in 2015.
