Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Season 2 Episode 10 Review-Marching Out The Zombies 2
I briefly mentioned it in the previous review, but this episode solidified my particular opinion—Mayuri is my favorite captain of the 13 Court Guards, or Gotei 13. something interesting about how evil he is in the cartoon despite being on the side of the good guys. Soul Society is lucky to be on his side, as he was written so strongly in this volume that he could have conquered Soul Society on his own if given the chance. Mayuri is the rare character who can go against anyone and defeat them convincingly, which is highly appreciated.

He confronts Zombie Toshiro, or Zosh, as some manga readers call him. Don’t get me wrong, he’s an interesting character with a lot of great scenes in this episode. However, his existence means that Toshiro is no more. In what is perhaps the greatest loss to the good side since the death of Captain Yamamoto, they have now lost Toshiro to the power of Gigi, Zombie’s creator. All the potential he had as a character and all the ways he tried to improve himself are long behind us. In front of us were cold, dead eyes that recognized no one in Soul Society.
That’s also why his confrontation with Mayuri, of all people, is so interesting. Anyone knowledgeable about the story and characters of Bleach would probably choose Toshiro in a one-on-one battle with Mayuri. They would all be wrong and underestimate how strong Mayuri is, too, and the way Tite Kubo, the show’s creator, writes him in this episode is the smartest and most resourceful he’s ever written for. any character in the show, except perhaps Kisuke. , and he has never defeated a captain on screen.

In addition to Mayuri, there is a spotlight on Byakuya again in this episode, although it is much smaller than Mayuri. Byakuya is the original iconic Bleach captain and seeing him kick people around is always fun. Senbonzakura Kageyoshi is almost as iconic a Bankai as Ichigo’s Zangetsu and is always the most beautiful and dangerous thing you will see in every episode released, this one being one of them.
The Quincies have finally begun to suffer some heavy losses, as Yhwach seems more than content to let them all die in order to successfully invade the Soul King’s palace. We see Gigi as an awesome person who shows off her truly terrifying level of power alongside a new and even scarier Pepe in this episode. There aren’t as many iconic Quincy as we have Arrancars, but they are powerful and varied enough, with some great ideas for their powers. This has a few episodes but not all of them are of the same quality.
Verdict
Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Season 2 Episode 10 was a very fun episode that had some very creative ideas along with increasing stakes for the battle.
