The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime production staff confirmed on Saturday that Season 2: The Separation of the anime will end on September 30 with an hour-long special. The special episode will include episodes 25 and 26. The production team also released the anime’s sixth key visual, forming a collage with the previously announced fifth key visual.

The anime is back with its second episode (quarterly of the year) on TV Tokyo and its affiliates (as well as across other locations) in Japan on July 8 at 11 p.m. KST. (10:00 am EDT). The second season premieres in the US on Hulu, Latin America on Star+, and in select countries on Disney+ on July 8 at 10:30 a.m. EDT. The anime is available with subtitles in English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Italian.

The three-member rock band wod is performing the opening theme song “STARS.”Music artist Yoh Kamiyama (Drifting Dragons, Horimiya) will contribute the song “Endroll” as the ending theme song.

The series premiered on October 10 in Japan on TV Tokyo and its affiliates, and is streaming on more than 20 services in Japan, including Hulu and Disney+. Viz Media began streaming the anime on Hulu in the US on October 10. An English dub of the anime premiered on Hulu on November 4. Viz Media held the anime’s North American premiere in New York Comic Con on October 8. The anime is streaming on Disney+ internationally, and Ani-One Asia is streaming the series in many Asian countries.
The anime’s first class ended in December with an hour-long special that mixes episodes 12 and 13 of the anime. The anime will last four periods with breaks in between.
The anime covers the rest of the original manga through its epilogue. The Millennium Blood War is the final part of the manga and consists of volumes 55-74.
Tomohisa Taguchi (Twin Star Exorcists, Kino’s Journey-The Beautiful World, Akudama Drive) will replace Noriyuki Abe as anime director at Studio Pierrot. Masashi Kudo will return as the character designer and Hiro SAGISU will return to compose the music.
The film’s returning Japanese cast also includes actors who have not yet appeared in the anime but are reprising their roles from the previous season. Game Bleach: Brave Souls.
