Amazon has listed an anime adaptation for March 2022 with the fourth and final volume of the manga. The volume was published in April 2022. The manga series is having a two-volume side story, and the first side story volume was published on August 18.
The manga was originally serialized on Twitter starting in 2018, and East Press also posted it on the Mato Grosso website.
The manga takes place in a rural town and tells stories about the carefree, warm, and sometimes mysterious lives of demons, humans, and gods living together in the town.
In the manga’s first story, a 20-year-old cat named Buchio suddenly evolves into the mythical Nekomata creature. Buchio is worried about why they suddenly turned into a demonic creature, and together with a shapeshifting fox named Yuri, they begin studying at the “Bakegaku” academy for creatures.
