Yu Gi Oh! 2024 Japan Championship must be Japanese citizens living in Japan
Konami reveals the rules of Yu-Gi-Oh! The 2024 Japan Championship for Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game (OCG) that tournaments in Japan will only allow Japanese citizens living in the country. People who are not Japanese citizens will be banned from entering the country. This is a change from Yu-Gi-Oh! The 2023 Japan Championship, allows all participants as long as they have a permanent address in Japan.
The first stage of the preliminary store qualifiers for Yu-Gi-Oh! The 2024 Japanese Championship starts on March 1 and runs until March 31. Phase 2 takes place from May 1-31. The top Japanese players will compete in the finals in mid-July. The top four will represent Japan at the Yu-Gi-Oh! The 2024 World Championship tournament will take place in Seattle, WA on September 7-8. The tournament uses special rules that combine Yu-Gi-Oh! Official card games that Konami releases in the East include Japan and Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading card game, published by the company in the West.
Yu-Gi-Oh! by Kazuki Takahashi! manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1996 to 2004. The manga became a worldwide hit franchise that continues to this day with card games, anime, toys, and series newer manga.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!!, the eighth main anime series in Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, premieres in April 2022 and will enter its third year on the air in April.
