The second part of Vinland Saga is being produced by a new studio. Despite the new studio, the series retains the same main production team from the first season. Abiru is designing the characters and Yamada is composing the music, while Rei Yabuta is directing the series. Hiroshi Seko handled its layout, while Takahiko Abiru created the characters.
In the sequel to the events of the first season, Einar, a slave from England, meets Thorfinn while working on a farm a year after the events of the first season. We see in episode 10 that Einar and Thorfinn have finished clearing the allotted land three years after they started. Now, they have the ability to buy their freedom, forcing them to consider their future as free people.
While en route to King Harald’s palace in Jelling, Ketil grants both of their freedoms in exchange for plowing, seeding, and possibly working for him as his future retainer. Harald crowns Canute King of Denmark on his deathbed. Meanwhile, Canute visits her sick brother Harald in Jelling, recalling how wonderful he was to him as a child.

Review Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 10
Although Season 1 has slowed down considerably, the show is still running at breakneck speed at this point. The last tree is uprooted in the final scene of Thorfinn and Einar’s enslavement, and their field is almost ready to be plowed, seeded, and reaped. Things are going hot for the couple. It went far too nice.
That appears to be a red herring in the episode we haven’t seen yet. At this point, it is impossible to think that Thorfinn will be able to do anything worthwhile. Thorfinn has long since given up on this happening, and now audiences understand what he’s talking about. While Thorfinn is as optimistic as he can be after going through what he’s got, he’s not sure what he’ll do with his freedom.
There will be issues that he doesn’t consider as simple as his instructor claims, and the audience agrees with him as well. Einar has issues to deal with because the person he loves doesn’t have the freedom he has. Throughout his story, he will emphasize love and his efforts to rescue/move forward despite the predicament. Their god must honor his word for this to happen.
It’s not a big deal right now because he’s proven to be quite a decent and reasonable person in the past. The main issue is that he chose Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 10, which set him on the path of Canute, the most dangerous character currently on the show. Canute’s current story is fascinating. It delves into his relationship with his brother, King Harald of Denmark, and comes to a gruesome conclusion.
His guilt haunts him, as does the floating head of his deceased father, who reminds him of all he’s done to get home.
