It's time to introduce a new character as hinted earlier. Meet Alya's sister named Maria Mikhailovna Kujou or Masha for short as she hugs her sister tightly.
And speaking of Masha, she's really curious about Alya's friend Masachika Kuze because Masha wants to know how her sister met him. So it's time for a flashback.
And let's start in her 3rd year of high school when Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou comes to Japan as a student who takes everything seriously.
Basically, Alisa will not accept lazy, half-hearted people at work, including Masachika Kuze, in which Alisa at first glance saw him with disgust.
Now, this is Alisa, where she works on props and costumes for the upcoming student festival.
Even though she wanted to complete it without any help from others, it made Alisa miserable to make the props herself because I wish someone would give her a hand.
That is until Masachika Kuze comes along and tells Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou that some of the Class 3-B students will be staying at school overnight to complete the haunted house.
But as you can see, everyone is very enthusiastic about completing the haunted house before the school festival.
So they won't let one person do the job because it's a team effort to create the best appeal.
Regardless, the whole class had to stay up all night to complete their haunted house and it must be said that they did not skimp on details as they poured everything into making it the best attraction.
Heck, they even created a gorgeous yuki-onna costume for Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou, where it became the main highlight of the attraction. And thanks to Alisa scaring everyone, Class 3-B won the Most Attractive Prize.
And now it's time for the after party as many students spend their last days of middle school trying to ask Alisa to the dance, even though she's too shy to do so.
Luckily, a certain Masachika Kuze took Alisa's help to dance the bonfire because he didn't want to see her being bothered by horny men.
By the way, this is when Masachika calls Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou Alya-san because he was the one who saved her.
In any case, Alya ends her backstory when Masha-san finds it so charming that it reminds her of the time she met a certain friend named Sa-chan.
And here's a picture of Sa-chan where Masha keeps it in her locket. Hmm, it seems like the person in this picture looks strangely similar to a certain Masa-Wait, I have a hunch about this!
Cut to the present day, where Touya Kenzaki is happy to see Masachika Kuze again, even though Masachika won't be joining the student council since he's only replacing Yuki Suou.
By the way, this is Maria Mikhailovna Kujou, who approached Masachika-kun almost as if she was remembering a long-lost childhood friend. Could it be that Masachika is actually Sa-chan?
Again, we'll never know for sure since Masachika Kuze will be taking over Yuki's PR duties for the time being. By the way, there's more information about Masachika and Yuki.
It turns out their parents got divorced because Masachika went with his father, while Yuki stayed with his mother and changed his last name from Kuze to Suou. Oh, and things got worse when Yuki got seriously ill very early on.
So, although Yuki Suou's health has gotten a little better since then, it's surprising that her childhood friendship with Masachika Kuze was formed as a result of their parents' divorce.
But let's end this episode with Masha when she smells something familiar from Masachika. I had a feeling that she was the long lost Russian girl from the first episode, even though Masha's hair color is different.
And speaking of Masha, it seems she regretted placing a cup of hot tea behind Masachika's back to the point where she accidentally spilled it on him. Ouch!
So it looks like this show has three potential love interests for Masachika Kuze. You have Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou and her older sister Maria, and then you have Yuki Suou, Masachika's younger sister.
However, I have a feeling that Masachika might end up choosing Alya… if Kadokawa and Dogakobo decide to do so in the Roshidere anime adaptation. Anyway, see you next time!
