Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest 15
フェアリーテイル 100年クエスト
Summary/SPOILER Summary:
When the last sphere was broken, the Wood Dragon god Aldoron came back to life. The humans living in the five cities on his body happily gave up their lives and were absorbed by Aldoron. Meanwhile, the White Mage realizes that the person who gave her this Whiteout mission lied to her. As such, the members of Fairy Tail are no longer under her control and can use their powers at will again.
Wendy uses Separation Magic to separate the White Mage from Touka. As they fled the ruined church, Naruto decided to save the unconscious White Mage. He then sends Wendy, Charle (Carla) to accompany the White Mage while he deals with Aldoron. At that time, the Guiltina Magic Council, Mir sent a fleet of airships to attack Aldoron with magic cannons. He emerged unharmed and destroyed the fleet.
The mysterious woman and Ignia observe this from their separate locations. Nat attacks Aldoron's back. A sprout appeared, transformed into a humanoid tree (Wolfen) and told him that he had dealt 1HP damage to the dragon, which had 1M health points. Everywhere, Wolfen appeared. One grabbed Cana and transformed into Gildarts after reading her mind. Cana frees the other Fairy Tail members to deal with the humanoid trees.
Meanwhile, Naruto's Wolfen transformed into Happy, allowing Naruto to easily defeat him. Others appeared, who were burned by Naruto. Naruto gets an idea and allows one to grab him and transform into Zeref.
Thoughts/Review:
We have a bit of a twist about the villain's betrayal Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest 15.
Awaken the dragon
Things got a bit dark inside Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest 15 when Aldoron absorbed all the people from the five cities built on his body. OH. Well, that explains why five great cities were founded on the body of a giant wood dragon god.
Besides, I didn't expect the White Mage to be betrayed. I don't know who this mysterious woman is. However, the way she talks, combined with Ignia (in human form) observing the same event from different locations makes me think she's another dragon god. But why lie and make the White Mage appear to have stolen Aldoron's magic?
White Mage
As I see it, there are two possible outcomes from the events of Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest 15. First, the White Mage went crazy because of the betrayal. So she became the enemy of all. However, upon re-watching the episode, I don't see that as likely. Since the White Mage had lost her controlling powers, the mysterious woman must have given them to her. So what is the true power of the White Mage?
The more likely outcome is the typical one for Mashima-sensei. This is demonstrated when Zeref's Wolfen clone appears. As I recall, Zeref is the end-game boss villain in the OG series Fairy Tail before Acnologia appeared. However, at the end of the day, he was redeemed. Heck, the list of “bad guys” Fairy Tail has fought and defeated, to become Fairy Tail's allies, is endless.
As such, I think the White Mage will repent, ask Fairy Tail for forgiveness, and then join them for real. That's what Mashima-sensei usually does, so I'd be shocked if this didn't happen. However, we will see.
Final thoughts and conclusions
I really want to get this done so I can go back to work and find myself again from the tsunami of things I have to do there. So let me end my review on Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest 15 with some final thoughts.
Now that the entire Fairy Tail guild is free, it is clear they will be needed to defeat the Dragon God Forest. But what does this mean for the 100 Year Mission? If the guild participates, will they become part of said quest? If nothing else, I want Juvia to join Team Naruto. There is no more magical “look how strong I am” than Aldoron wiping out a massive fleet of magical airships without breaking a sweat. These Wolfen are a clever way for Mashima-sensei to bring back characters like Zeref or have a cameo like Gildarts. I think we'll see a few more cameos from these wooden blocks. Speaking of Zeref, if Wolfen-Zeref had Zeref's killing power, surely he would still want to fulfill Aldoron's wishes, right? So I'm not sure how Natsu's plan will work out. Humorous, omake stories are sometimes included in truly “What the hell is going on?” moments.
Final, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 15 quite interesting. While I appreciate the honorifics left in the subtitles, I wish they had also left out the sibling honorifics.
