Netflix has announced that actor Timothy Olyphant will voice the Terminator in Terminator Zero. The film will premiere on the streaming platform on August 29, 2024.
The casting was announced as part of Netflix's Next on Netflix Animation event that happened earlier this week.
Three new scenes from Terminator Zero were also revealed on Netflix Anime's official Twitter account.
The animated series will consist of a total of eight episodes and will be part of the overall Terminator universe. However, the story will focus on new characters not in the movie. It will also serve as the first animated installment of the series.
Production IG is handling the series' animation, with Masashi Kudo (Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War character designer) serving as director. Mattson Tomlin (Project Power, The Batman II) is serving as showrunner, executive producer and writer. Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger serve as executive producers.

Netflix describes the synopsis of Terminator Zero as:
2022: A future war has raged for decades between a handful of survivors and an endless army of machines. 1997: An AI named Skynet gains self-awareness and begins a war against humanity.
