As confirmed by Netflix Anime's official X/Twitter account, the movies will soon be brought to the platform. Part 1 premiered in Japanese theaters on June 9, 2023, and the second part on June 30, 2023.

These films will adapt the climactic battle of Star Galactica, the fifth and final installment of the franchise. In their quest to collect the Sailor Crystals, female villains from an evil empire target Earth after discovering and collecting crystals from across the Milky Way. Sailor Galaxia, who has been corrupted by the evil entity Chaos, is on a quest to dominate the universe by stealing Star Seeds, which are the essence of all heavenly beings. Sailor Moon and Sailor Starlights, new allies with mysterious origins, join forces to fight Galaxia's minions, the Sailor Animamates.
Produced by Toei Animation (One Piece, Dragon Ball) along with Studio Deen (UruseiYatsura, Fruits Basket), these films are part of the Sailor Moon Crystal anime series. This anime project is a reboot of the global hit Sailor Moon supervised by author Naoko Takeuchi. Besides the great animation and beautiful, captivating visuals, this reboot is also a faithful adaptation of the manga, cutting out unnecessary scenes from the original anime and offering a better alternative for interested fans.
Netflix has acquired the rights to the films, one of many anime the platform has. Netflix is becoming a real competitor in the anime industry, not only producing their own original series but also becoming the home for popular series like Black Clover, My Hero Academia and Haikyuu! !. The final addition to Sailor Moon The Crystal series will launch this summer and fans will certainly be excited to see more of such a legendary game series.
