Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will begin streaming the English dub of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, a television anime based on Chiyu Mahō no Machigatta Tsukai’s Kurokata-kata: Senjō o Kakeru Kaifuku Yōin ( The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic: Recovery Team Running Through the Battlefield) fantasy novel series, on Friday.
The British cast includes:
Caitlin Glass is directing the English dub. Samantha Herek is producing. Jarrod Greene is credited with the adaptation. Jamal Roberson is an engineer.
The anime premieres on January 5. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.
Takahide Ogata (Kaiketsu Zorori: Lalala♪ Star Tanjō, Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori) will direct the anime at Studio Add and Shinei Animation. Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Quality Assurance in Another World) is in charge of writing the script and Kenji Tanabe (BLUELOCK) is designing the characters. Elements Garden (Hitoshi Fujima, Seima Kondō) is composing the music.

The”Comedy isekai fantasy with jokes and battles” begins when ordinary high school student Usato runs into student council president Suzune and classmate Kazuki on the way home. All three were suddenly swallowed by the magic circle and transported to another world.
The trio are summoned as heroes to save a kingdom from the demon king’s army — but, only Suzune and Kazuki have what it takes to become heroes. Usato is accidentally dragged along on the trip.
However, things turn around when Usato is discovered to have the rare knowledge of a healing magician. He is kidnapped by a woman who identifies herself as Rose, the leader of the life-saving squad, and is taken into her ranks.
Kurokata launched the light novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in March 2014. Publisher MF Books published the first volume of the novel with illustrations by KeG in March 2016, the 12th and final volume. same March 2020. Reki Kyūgazan is adapting the story into a manga and Kadokawa is publishing the volumes in print.
