Mobile game Azur Lane has received an anime trailer to celebrate its seventh anniversary.
Two minute video Madhouse The Madhouse-produced film primarily features a montage of various Azur Lane characters focusing more on Akagi, though there is some action at the end. It is directed, written, and unit directed by Daiki Harashina (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End monster designer and others), who also took on those three roles (and more) for the 2020 Monster Strike x Madhouse collaboration short Zetsubou Funsai Shoujo ∞ Amida.

Keisuke Kojima (My Isekai Life: I Achieved the Second Class and Became the World's Strongest Sage! Director and Character Designer, etc.) handled character design and animation direction for the Azur Lane seventh anniversary anime trailer. Other staff credits include:

Azur Lane launched in Japan on September 14, 2017 with Yostar is the publisher, a few months after its release in May in China. The English version was released in 2019, the same year that the game's television anime adaptation began airing.
Google Play describes the naval-themed shipgirl game as “a mix of RPG, 2D shooter, and strategy genres.” The premise is that the fleets of the famous Azur Lane organization are fighting a threat known as the Sirens.
