Square Enix’s manga adaptation by Ryūta Kijima and Sando’s “The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raids” light novel series will get their own television anime. The anime is expected to premiere in January on various affiliated stations, including ABC TV and TV Asahi, as part of the “Animazing!!!” programming block.
The main cast includes Jun Kasama as Rud, Kaede Hondo as Nin and Kana Ichinose as Luna. The story follows Rud, a tank in the Hero Party known to have the highest defense in history. For Rud, the raids on the maze are more than just a quest—they represent a means to cure his beloved sister. However, after being unfairly kicked out of the group, Rud embarks on a journey back to his homeland, where he unexpectedly discovers powerful hidden skills. With unparalleled defense and newfound abilities, Rud’s adventure as the most powerful tank begins.

Directed by Mitsutaka Noshitani and produced by STUDIO POLON, the series’ script was supervised by Hitomi Amamiya. Character design was handled by Taihei Nagai and music by Victor Entertainment.
The original light novel series inspired by the manga, written by Ryūta Kijima, was first published on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in July 2018. The first printed volume with Sando’s illustrations was published by Shufunotomo in July 2018. April 2019. Square Enix is credited with adapting the manga, and the ninth compiled volume will be released soon.
Fans can look forward to a dense and fantasy-filled action-anime adaptation as Rud’s epic journey comes to life on screen in “The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raid ”. The series promises to be a thrilling addition to the anime world in January 2024.
