The “Gundam Franchise” 45th anniversary special broadcast online revealed a “special project” commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Mobile Fighter G Gundam anime on Sunday.

During the special, the anime's main voice actor Tomokazu Seki introduced the 30th anniversary logo and hinted at what's to come: an in-development illustration for a new character.

Seki confirmed that he heard that “there may” be new developments for the G-Gundam. He opened his remarks by noting that he was only aware of the possible anniversary project at that moment, where the special was taped, and that he did not know further details.
