The previously announced The Banished Former Living Hero anime has revealed details about additional cast members. Studio Deen and Marvy Jack are animating the series, which is scheduled to premiere in April. Additional cast includes Aimi as Mylene, Megumi Han as Beatrice, and Mariya Ise as Akira. Shota Aoi will voice Allen, Minami Kurisaka as Riese, Akari Kito as Anriette and Sora Amamiya as Noel.

Akira (CV: Mariya Ise)Kazuomi Koga will direct the film and Rintaro Ikeda will compose the film. Meanwhile, Saori Hosoda designed the characters, Yoshiki Okusa wrote the script and Kei Haneoka composed the music.
The banished former hero lives as he pleases (Dekisokonai to Yobareta Moto Eiyu wa, Jikka kara Tsuihosareta node Suki Katte ni Ikiru Koto ni Shita) will adapt the light novel of the same name by Shin Kozuki and illustrated by Chocoan, began publishing in 2018 under TO Books. A manga adaptation of Karasurmaru is currently serialized in Comic Corona magazine.

J-Novel Club recently licensed the light novel in English and describes the plot as follows: Considered a “good-for-nothing” because of his low qualifications and lack of God-given gifts, Allen is deprived abandoned his noble position and was banished from the World. Duchy of Westfeldt. But Allen has a secret: in his past life he was a great hero and he’s excited to finally have the chance to live the way he wants! However, his drama-free existence is soon interrupted by a desperate encounter with his ex-fiancee.
