The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) anime adaptation received new key visuals and premiere details.
The upcoming TV anime series based on the historical mystery novel series written by Natsu Hyuuga and illustrated by Touko Shino, will premiere in Japan on October 21, which is October 22 at 1:05 morning JST. Instead of just one episode, the first three episodes will premiere on the same day.
Additionally, it was revealed that The Apothecary Diaries will run for two semesters.

The light novel published by Shufunotomo, published under the Hero Bunko label, began in 2014 and has 13 volumes as of February 202 3. The J-Novel Club describes the plot as:

Norihiro Naganuma (The Ancient Sorcerer’s Bride Part 1) is serving as the director and composer of the anime series with Akinori Fudesaka (Summer Time Rendering and Komi Can’t Communication writer) is the assistant director and Yukiko Nakatani (Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure) as the character designer. TOHO animation STUDIO and OLM credited as an animator.

Prior to becoming a light novel series, The Apothecary Diaries was a web novel Shousetsuka ni Narou began serialization in 2011. A single tankoubon volume was published under the Ray Books label (also by Shufunotomo Infos) in 2012. These light novels have inspired a manga series published by Nekokurage at Square Enix (also available in English) and a manga series published by Shogakukan (subtitled Mao Mao no Kōkyuu Nazotoki).
