For the luckiest people in Jojo’s Bizarre AdventureStanding abilities don’t just provide strength–they provide the ultimate level of strength. From playing with time to removing everything from existence, it is impossible to underestimate the amount of power these top Stands bring. With Stands often able to bend the rules of reality, it’s no surprise that some Stands are not only powerful, but extremely dangerous.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’s deadliest stands, though, aren’t just about raw power. Part of what makes the Stand system unique is the way it forces the series’ heroes to think outside the box. As a result, the series’ biggest risk stands are the ones with the least obvious weakness. While JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’s most dangerous Stands come from major series villains, that’s not universally true, as even one JoJo claims to be one of the most dangerous Stands in JoJo history.
5 Purple Mist
Purple Haze belongs to Panacotta Fugo, one of Giorno’s original allies in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Its abilities allow it to release a flesh-eating virus from its hands into the air, instantly killing anyone and anything that comes into contact with it. Standing also has an aggressive temperament, seemingly coveting violence. And, unlike many of Stand’s abilities, Fugo is not immune to the effects of Purple Haze, making it a rare instance of a Stand posing a danger to the user. The nature of this ability makes it extremely dangerous and unwieldy, so even when Fugo is with them, he rarely summons Purple Haze. In the end, Fugo didn’t stick around for long, deciding that he didn’t trust Giorno. Many fans believe that Fugo was left out of the series because he was too strong and could trivialize battles. Fugo and his Stand reappear as the protagonists of the Jojo Purple Haze Feedback light novel, where he attempts to return to Giorno’s good graces.
4 crimson emperors
Emperor Crimson is the Stand that belongs to Diavolo, the great villain of the Golden Wind. Its main ability allows it to erase time, so that events that happened during that time period still happen, but no one can remember or react to them. In that way, it’s similar to Dio’s powerful Stand in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, The World, although The World is limited to six seconds of stopping time, but Emperor Crimson can do up to ten seconds. However, Emperor Crimson has another ability, known as the Epitaph, which allows Diavolo to see the future. Knowing his opponent’s actions in advance, he will stop them before they can act and then erase the time it takes to do so, making it nearly impossible to reach him. Emperor Crimson was defeated only by the accidental appearance of the Golden Wind Requiem, and despite the loss, could actually be a more dangerous Stand against anyone without the name Giorno.
3 Golden Wind Bridge
For Giorno, his Stand is also quite dangerous. The original Golden Wind was capable of energizing the things it attacked, turning inanimate objects into creatures and resurrecting the humans it attacked, making it difficult to fight. However, Giorno’s Stand took a big step forward when Giorno came into contact with one of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures’ Stand Arrow, which evolved into its final form, the Golden Wind Requiem. The Golden Wind Requiem, a sentient Stand with the ability to act on its own, has trapped Diavolo in a time loop, ensuring that he will spend the rest of eternity dying again and again – a terrifying fate if at all. Its evolution allows it to resist the wishes of its opponents, which makes it possible for it to break Diavolo’s Emperor Crimson. No matter what he tries to do, the Golden Wind Requiem will stop it, rendering all his actions meaningless.
2 heavens
Maiden Heaven is the final evolved form of Stand Palesnake, belonging to Enrico Pucci from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean. Maiden Heaven’s ability to accelerate the passage of time – for the entire universe. However, people’s perception of time is unaffected, leading to things like a patient in a hospital bed dying and rotting in the space of a few seconds. While Dio (and later Jotaro) can stop time for a few seconds, it seems that Pucci has actually surpassed his master’s ability to control time with Maiden Heaven. Pucci’s goal with this is essentially speeding up reality, giving everyone living in the next universe a vague sense that they’ve been through previous events and thus allowing them to know in advance everything that’s going to happen to them. Maiden Heaven is virtually invincible, and technically it has rebooted the universe; the only thing stopping it was Pucci’s death while outside the normal flow of reality.
1 Soft & Wet: Going further
Soft & Wet is Josuke Higashikata’s Stand from season 8, Jojolion, affectionately known by fans as “Gappy” to distinguish him from Josuke of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures’ Part 4. Soft & Wet’s ability allows it to create tiny bubbles that can take the properties of one object and transfer them to another. However, “attribute” means flexibility; For example, at one point, Josuke removed the friction of an object, making it impossible for the object to grip or stop. He can also steal someone’s vision, making this a Metaphysical Bracket. Bubbles can also burst with explosive force, a trait inherited from Yoshikage Kira’s Queen of Assassins.
However, Soft & Wet receives a later power, called Soft & Wet: Go Beyond, which makes its abilities wilder. With Go Beyond, it’s revealed that the bubbles actually use a concept from season 7 called Spin and are actually something like quantum strings that spin very quickly to appear to be a sphere and therefore also infinitely thin. The bubbles it produces, emerging from his Joestar birthmark, are said to be out of this world, and thus ordinary objects cannot prevent them in any way. This also has the side effect of making them difficult to target. Anything that comes in contact with the bubble is instantly vaporized, almost never remaining, making this a The most dangerous stand in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure history.
