The official Twitter account of the live-action manga adaptation “Ya Boy Kongming!” by Yuto Yotsuba and Ryō Ogawa! (known as “Paripi Kōmei”) revealed a compelling introductory video on Saturday. This trailer is narrated entirely in Chinese by Dean Fujioka, who will also take on the role of Liu Bei in the film.
Scheduled to premiere on September 27, the series has found its place in the Fuji TV lineup, airing on Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. KST. (9:00 a.m. EDT) as part of the precious “Shinsui 10 Drama” time slot.

Osamu Mukai (pictured left) was cast as Shokatsu Kōmei (famous in history as Zhuge Liang), while Moka Kamishiraishi took on the role of the main character, Eiko.

Starting June 1, Kodansha USA Publishing embarked on an English-language digital publication of the manga. Their description of the manga is as follows:
Kong Minh, the brave commander from the Three Kingdoms period, has dedicated his life to grappling countless battles, honing his skill set as a master strategist.
As his life drew to a close, his final wish was simple: to be reborn in a tranquil realm. Incredibly, his wish came true when he found himself transported to modern-day Tokyo, the heart of revelry. Can even the most accomplished strategist, Kongming, adapt to the vibrant rhythms of this sprawling metropolis and its vivacious inhabitants?
The story’s premiere took place on Kodansha’s Comic Days platform in December 2019. At the same time, its sequel run is set to begin in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine in November 2021.
Two weeks ago, on July 6, Kodansha released the 14th volume of the manga in compiled form. Reflecting this, Kodansha USA Publishers released volume 12 on July 18.

An animated version of the manga then debuted on television screens in April 2022. HIDIVE took over the exclusive and synchronized streaming responsibility for the series, including the original version and the variant. its English dub. Sentai Filmworks subsequently obtained the anime’s licensing rights and staged the home video release on April 18.
