The Tasuketsu manga begins online publication on Comic Smart’s Ganma! website in September 2013. It consists of three parts: the first part ran from 2013 to 2014, the second part titled Tasuketsu: FINAL KEQ ran from 2015 to 2017, and the third part Tasuketsu: Judgment Assizes , released in November 2017. The third season also inspired a 7-minute original video animation (OVA) adaptation. This was made possible through a crowdfunding campaign and directed by Rabbit Machine at Imagica Lab. It was released in January 2021.
Tasuketsu follows a group of five people in a world where people suddenly disappear. A mysterious self-proclaimed “Emperor” brings five people together through anonymous messages and asks them to participate in a game. Participants answer the question “Do you want to live or die?” The game has only one rule: “Most die”.
