Introducing Scotland Loves Animation
Scotland Loves Anime was founded by Andrew Partridge three years ago when he founded Anime Limited in 2010 to address the lack of festivals that considered Japanese animation a key part of their line-up. This event has been running continuously for 14 years, 2024 marks the 15th year and is today's UK premiere of Japanese animation with people from all over world.
Our organization serves to introduce people to things in the world of animation that they wouldn't normally have the opportunity to participate in. SLA accomplishes this goal by highlighting the diverse range of animation that exists within the medium. Even as Japanese animation has become popular in the UK – for every film like Jujutsu Kaisen 0, there are many other unique films that are marginalized. Our goal is to provide more context behind mainstream film to audiences not typically interested in film education, while also showcasing the hidden gems of the field.
