Crunchyroll announced on Monday that it is streaming an English dub of Spice & Wolf: merchant meets wise wolf anime with the two main characters reprising their roles from the dub of the original anime in 2016. 2008:

Michelle Rojas directs and Samantha Herek produces. Matthew Greenbaum is handling the adaptation. Matt Grounds is the coordinator and Jamal Roberson is the engineer.
The anime debuted on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi on April 1. The show also aired on BS TV Tokyo and AT-X. It will be broadcast in two consecutive sessions (quarters of a year). Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs.
The anime will be a completely new film, telling the story of Kraft Lawrence and his encounter with the wolf girl Holo. Jun Fukuyama will return as Kraft Lawrence and Ami Koshimizu will return as Holo. Mai Nakahara also returns to the series as Norah Arendt.
Takeo Takahashi will return to the series, this time as director. Hijiri Sanpei (spice and Wolf II episode director) is directing the anime at studio Passione. Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss, Tower of God, The Rising of The Shield Hero) is composing the music. ENISHIYA is producing the series. Hana Hope performed the opening theme song “Tabi no Yukue”(The Journey's Destination) and music duo ClariS performed the ending theme song “Andante”.

The life of a traveling merchant is a lonely one, a fact with which Kraft Lawrence is all too familiar. Hasekura launched the Spice and Wolf novel series with illustrations by Jū Ayakura in 2006. The novels took a break after volume 17 in 2011 and returned with the 18th volume in 2016. The 24th and latest volume was published. published in January 2023. Yen Press published the 24th novel in North America in August, and is also publishing a manga adaptation. Hasekura began a spin-off series, Wolf & Parchment: New Theory Spice & Wolf, in April 2016. Yen Press is also releasing the spin-off series in English, as well as its manga adaptation.
The novel also inspired two other series. Anime television seasons by director Takeo Takahashi and writer Naruhisa Arakawa. The first season aired in Japan from January to March 2008, and the second season (Spice and Wolf II) from July to September 2009. Funimation released both seasons on home video.
A virtual reality anime that follows the anime television series and debuted in June 2019 for Oculus Rift, HTC VIVE, and Oculus Go Edition. The sequel comes out in December 2020.
